Ted Apodaca is a long-time journalist covering parts of northwest O.C. He covers sports for Orange County Neighborhood News and also works as a substitute teacher. The mission of this blog is to highlight the accomplishments of students and student-athletes.

Currently Student-Athlete News is focused on schools in the west OC area. In terms of sports, we are covering various teams from the Empire, Sunset, Garden Grove and Golden West Leagues. We are looking for stories that highlight the sports and academic accomplishments of students among those schools.
