The Cypress High boys basketball team capped its pre-league season with a Championship in the San Diego Holiday Classic Tournament in the Governor’s Division. The Centurions defeated Poway in the title game, 83-73, on Dec. 30. The Centurions went 4-0 in the tournament, with wins of Maranatha of San Diego, Del Norte and the Army & Navy Academy of Carlsbad. Senior guard Ryan Gov led the Centurions with 32 points in the title game was named Tournament MVP.
